Great hike. Trails are narrow, rocky, and muddy in spots but these woodlands are gorgeous and serene. Monroe trail was a steady and enjoyable incline. Views of the green mountains from the summit are stunning. Immediate descent from summit on Long trail is a bit more technical than the ascent on Monroe but not too bad. Saw lots of lovely butterflies throughout the hike!
