I don’t want to see another rock for awhile

The hike up didn’t feel so bad but I think that is because we have been building up for it. Coming down was so hard on the joints. It is a very, VERY rocky trail. Views are awesome.  Watching the sunrise over Lake Tahoe and Fallen Lead Lake was the best part of this hike and made waking up at 3am worth it. Loved Cathedral Lake. Water felt great. Yes, I jumped in for a swim in the refreshingly cool water. The rocks didn’t feel so great to walk on when walking in. Feet were so sore at this point from all the rocks on the trail. I army crawled on my way out of the water to avoid walking on them.
