This was the biannual San Diego Parks & Recreation Warrior Hike Challenge, in honor of veterans and their families.  My Woah Girls group of 5 hiked from the parking lot to the El Cajon Mountain summit, then over to the summit of El Capitan, and on the way back down we detoured to see the old mines, for a total of nearly 13 miles.  It was the toughest hike I have ever done but I felt great at the end, and I was really happy to get a patch to commemorate the experience!
