It’s Not Over Till the Fat Man Sings, Elden Mountain Lookout

Started at 06:00 with a temperature of 4c, it was not long before I was sweating,  Good effort and persistence was rewarded with views of the San Francisco Peaks! There were quite a few downed trees on the trail but a shout out to the Bitter Root Hot Shot Crew, who removed them during their visit here in Flagstaff.

On the return I went slow and carefully navigated the loose volcanic rock and ash.  Just be careful on the curves and lean into the hill!
