Great day for a hike. I think I ran out of gas with 2 miles remaining to the top, but still made it. No snow along the trail to speak of (I did have to cross a single spot about 5′ in length). Per the Mill Creek ranger station (I called a few days ago), day hike permits are NOT required right now, though they told me they may re-instate that requirement around Memorial Day.
