Maiden Peak with some Light Flakes

With the light snow season in the PNW, we decided to head out to Maiden Peak. On the way, we weren’t sure what the weather was going to do. The forecast for the hike called for rain or snow. We wound up with the latter. It snowed lightly for most of our way up. We had mix of low clouds and a few breaks of sunshine which helped us warm up. On the way down, the skies began to clear and the light dusting of snow was slowly melting.

We always enjoy this hike. It has a steeper section towards the top, but it’s not too long. We only saw another couple heading up as we made our way back.
