Malopar High Point

Just the right challenge for where I’m at physically!  A good challenging grade of ascent until you get to the fire roads, which aren’t too shabby themselves.  Got passed by a guy on a bike…#humbled at anyone’s physique who can bike such steep grades.  There was some snow on the trail at the higher elevations, which was nice!  Some spotty cell service, so I would definitely recommend downloading music ahead of time (I was supposed to hike with two friends, but they had to bail).  Gorgeous views at the top; chatted with that biker dude who gave me a few suggestions about hiking Whitney, whenever I get to that.  I think I made it up to the top in three hours?  Half hour food and rest break at the top, then an hour and a half down.  10 out of 10 would do again…someday later.
