At 2,517′, Mission Peak towers over the southern arm of the San Francisco Bay, offering 360-degree views – including views of Mount Hamilton, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mt Tam, and Mt Diablo and the Sierra Nevada. This route is part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, and we’ll walk through shaded woodlands, open grasslands, and between and/or near cows. We’ll stop for lunch either at the top of the summit or, if it’s too windy, we’ll head down a little for lunch.
