Mission Peak, Wind and Rain

It was a tale of two different hikes for my friend and I when we reached the summit of Mission Peak. All the way from the Stanford staging area to the top it poured creating a muddy, slippery, sticky mess where every step took a lot of focus and occasionally we had to prevent our feet from coming out of our shoes the mud was so thick. Once the peak was reached and we headed down the sun began to break through. The trail remained muddy and slick but the views were spectacular and, of course, it got a lot warmer. Peak #1 in the books!
