Mount Chocorua

We were lucky to get a spot in the lot which is impressive for a holiday weekend. Please note All Trails notes the parking fee as $3.00 but it is $5.00.

I hiked this trail with two friends. We took the Champney Brook Trail up to summit. The trail had some trees down but they were passable. There were a lot of different types of mushrooms along the way. The trail itself was one of the harder trails I’ve done. There was a lot of technical aspects to it, especially toward the summit. There were a few places we were quite sure how we were going to get up or down.

You do have to cross the river three times on this particular hike so that should be kept in mind if you are hiking after a rain storm or hiking in a rain storm.

There was a lot of people of the trail and we were all supporting one another as we made it through different parts.
