Mount Umunhum

Even so the forecast for the day was very hot (35C+) I started not too early, around 8 am. Parking was still (or already?) available, no problem with that. It got pretty hot quickly, but most of the trail is in shade, all good. Spent some time around the summit – it does have nice views both sides – to Santa Cruz and to Mt. Diablo – clear air, great visibility. Surprisingly there were some nice butterflies in the shade areas along the trail, was happy to see them. The tower itself looks very clean and freshly painted, massive in close proximity.
