Mount Woodson/Potato Chip Rock

Planned on doing Corte Madera but saw 50 mph winds and a wind chill down to 13 degrees so decided to stay north and hit Mt. Woodson. Got there around 5:50 and the fisherman were already lined up waiting for the gate to open. Got in a little after 6 and it was cold and windy. Bundled up with the two boys and we made it to the summit. It was even colder and windier up there. Ate some homemade burritos and headed down. Fun hike with some elements we aren’t used to. Makes a great story. If you are searching for the survey marker, it’s on the boulder with the cement structure on top. You have to climb a piece of wood to get up the boulder.
