Mt Baldy (#4) via Baldy Bowl

My first mountaineering experience. We came prepared with all the proper equipment – ice axe, crampons, helmet, mountaineering boots, etc. It was my first time reaching Mt Baldy summit via Baldy Bowl and it was an amazing experience. The weather was great and the snow conditions were good to provide good grip. I practiced for a while self-arrest technique a little up the Bowl. My husband has climbed the Bowl over 20 times, so he gave me some tips and tricks and I felt comfortable continuing up the Bowl following his footsteps.
