The weather was perfect for a long walk up a big hill. There was a bit of ice on the trail at Devil’s Backbone but very easy to go through. Not too many people but the ones I encountered were friendly and enjoying the day. Having lunch at the summit was incredible as I started at the beauty that surrounds me every day but I often overlook. It was a good day to be me.

    So nice to “meet” you on this venue. I’m Maya’s mom, Madeline, in northern CA. This is a fun challenge – all the peaks. The northern CA ones are definitely less challenging than yours down south. Maybe we can hike a SoCal peak together someday when I’m down visiting Maya. Cheers!
