Trailhead Vivian Creek

Started on the trail shortly after 5am. It was a cold morning and stayed relatively cold for the rest of the trip up. Trail was the same as I remember it from last year, just not as green. Only saw 4 other people on the trail to the peak. We were lucky to have the peak to ourselves for pictures. Was a perfect day for hiking.

Although there wasn’t any snow, there was frost on the rocks at the very top. Kind of dangerous if you don’t notice it while climbing to get to the signs.

Also, there was running water up to high creek. We each packed 3 liters for this hike, only used 2. If I did it again, I’d pack 1 liter and bring my water filter.

4 to go! 🙂

  1. Congratulations, @pvpk714! Bagging San Gorgonio first is awesome… and unusual to do so without snow at this time of year. I hear snow is coming though…
