A short but sweet overnight up to Ontario Peak.  I initially planned to bivouac in the summit but after a late start (5:30p) I decided to stop for the night at Kelly Camp.  The sky was a tremendous orange blaze as I hiked the last mile from Icehouse saddle, and made it just after dark.  I was asleep by 9p and up at first light.  I packed up my minimal camp and headed up to the peak.  The views of Baldy with the sunlight climbing down Baldy bowl were incredible.  I was on the summit by 6:40a and took in the views for few mins before heading down.  I was at my car by 9:15, having greeted the multitude of hikers heading up along the way.  So glad I did this as an overnight and had the peak to myself.  Ontario Peak is not to be missed!
