Over the meadow and through the woods!

What a beautiful hike! We went up the night before and enjoyed a kid free evening! Our other hiking buddy drove up the next morning, what a trooper. We started at the trail head 530am and kept a good pace the whole way there. We didn’t pass anyone one coming down as we were going up so I am guessing we were the first ones to the top for the day. We say 2 hug elk and tons of doe tracks. The views from the top were amazing. Cell service was great so I even video chatted with my husband so he could enjoy it too. On the hike down we passed over 40 people. We were lucky to be in the shade for our ascent but they were in sun for most of it, no thank you! In the end we were rewarded with pancakes and coffee before we headed back to the valley!
