Overnight Maiden Peak Hike

Started off gold lake road off hwy 58. Hiked 3.5 miles up to the maiden peak shelter off the pct trail where we had the whole place to ourselves. Played board games and had dinner. Woke up and made breakfast. Began hiking at 9, finished the last 3 miles to the summit around by 10:30. No one else on the trail! Didn’t see anyone else until we were coming down and saw a couple mountain biking up. Cruises back down to the shelter where we hid our bags. Had lunch. Then finished the trek back down to the vehicles. Gaia gps tracked me at 13 miles.  Great hike, ready for the next!
