Took the two hour drive down from LA and hit the trail shortly after 9:30 am. The first two miles were steep and my lack of exercise over the past several weeks was keenly felt. After the lengthy climb the trail became much nicer. I made it to the old fire lookout and took the trail to the actual peak. Spent some time relaxing by myself at the peak before heading down. Beautiful day to be out.

Congratulations on completing this hike! I just completed this hike last weekend, and I agree this hike is worth the drive!
