Great way to start off this challenge! Despite receiving snow the day before, the weather was beautiful for our hike. We left the bottom around 7:30 am. Once we got into the snow covered trail (about 8-10 inches in parts) it was a bit more challenging to find our way. With the exception of one little (1 mile) detour we made it to the top! It was a glorious blue sky day in the morning with breath taking views of Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and surrounding mountain tops.
