San Jacinto, Nature’s Stairmaster

I did this a few months ago in the snow via the Tram route and had to return to complete the OG route from Marion Mountain. We met up at 3AM to an empty parking lot which meant we could park the low profile vehicles on the side of the road, and the lifted vehicles in the lot taking the huge drop off to enter with ease. The hike up starts off steep, levels some and a short scramble to the peak. On the return, save some energy (and your knees) for the last 3 mile finish, it’s a doozy! Beautiful trail and the most amazing view at the summit.
