Perfect hiking weather, but no blooming flowers yet. As we got closer to the peak, we noticed fire hoses and assumed Cal Fire was being proactive and gearing up for fire season. Further along, we came across a large pool of water and piles of dry debris.
Curious, I called today to find out what was going on and learned they had conducted a controlled burn.

We found a wind-free spot at the top to enjoy the views and have a snack.
