Saturday Rise & Hike to Cuyamaca via Azalea Glen Loop!
Also on this hike
The weather was pleasant today & we (I & my spouse) reached the trail head, parked the car in the day use parking lot and started the hike via Azalea Glen Loop at around 6.40 am.
It was beautiful all along. I felt so blessed to be able to experience the chirping of birds in the natural lush green surroundings. Red little flowers blooming on the sides of the trail, the sound of water flowing in the stream were all very soothing. We proceeded through the Conejos trail. There was canopy all along, and at some places we could see the burnt and blackened trunks of trees which made me feel sad thinking about the wild fires and the agony caused to these trees which give us shade and oxygen. We all humans have responsibility to protect the beautiful wilderness, the divinity of nature. We took a small break in between & then made our way up to the top which was steep at the end. The view was amazing! Spent some time taking pictures and made our way back through the Lookout Fire Road which was downhill till the parking lot.
