Best time I’ve had thanks to the permit system. Hiked it for the first time last year and that was terrible and stressful due to tons of people being around you the whole hike. This time, we started at 430am and beat the heat. The views were amazing and so peaceful being the only ones you could see around. It was pretty windy and the smoke was rolling in but it was still beautiful.

We got back around 1 or 2 I think. The heat wasn’t too bad this time around, the wind was helpful otherwise it might’ve been too hot
