Slippery slope in Palomar

Longest hike I’ve been in thus far but good. The first couple of miles was the steepest and where we took the most breaks. Not a lot of hikers but there were several vehicles that went to the top and back down. Bugs were an annoyance but not bites thankfully. Beautiful scenery near the top and my favorite was seeing the Palomar Observatory. Hike down the mountain was rough towards the end where there are a lot of loose rocks. Overall it was a great long hike.
