Squaw Peak
Also on this hike
May 2nd, I did my first hike in Utah, and it was a strange feeling doing a solo hike on a trail where I dont know anybody. I started hiking solo for few years until I found Justin Williams @rockhoundhiker and since then I started hiking with other people. I definitely miss my friends in Southern California but life is not perfect and we just need to move with it. It was a solo hike but all the people I’ve come to know on the California trails were on my mind. Squaw Peak is a very popular trail and I tried to do it yesterday with Derek William @jukeonjuke , but it was extremely packed so we decided just to walk @k9luna2019 and Juke on a side trail for 2 miles. I thought the trail would be full of trash so I got a big trash bag to pick it up and to my surprise I barely found trash (just energy bars, wrappers, and fruit). In summary, it’s a very good hike: 7 miles and 2,775ft elevation gain with sunny but cool weather (and windy).
I will travel back to California once a month and hopefully we can hike together there or if you want to come to Utah we can hike together here. I might not include everybody in my post but all my friends and groups in SOCAL are represented in Utah by HikeRevolution.
