We did the loop taking the mountain trail up to the road, but came back via railroad. Our daughter joined us as she was up from college. We started rather late in the afternoon at 2:23 pm, and just made it back as the Ranger announced Park Closed!
Only the Toyon Berries and the sky for color.
Perfect weather and amazing sunset. We stopped by the Ranger station and got an elevation marker pin. ( And extra snacks)
