Sunrise summit of Mission Peak after 2am wakeup

Wrote a long description but it was lost because I took too long and this page timed out 🙁  Don’t have time to waste doing that again – sorry.

We backpacked to Cathedral Camp in Sunol Wilderness, got up at 2am and then traded our heavy packs for lighter ones at the car along the way. Made it to the Summit just in time for sunrise and the fog occasionally parted to let us see it.

Hike back down was nice because we got to see what we missed hiking up in the dark.
