Switchbacks are my jam….

Beautifully maintained parking area with restrooms and well marked trails with a wonderful shaded pergola/picnic area to stop for a bite of lunch.  Once you push through that last bit of 160 stairs to the top, the views are amazing.  We went on a weekday morning and saw a few trail joggers and some construction workers at the top (working on the building at the summit) but otherwise, a very quiet hike.  The weather was about 70 degrees but with the sun out, I appreciated the trail taking us in and out of shade and cool breeze.   Will definitely do this hike again – with my 12 year old next time!
