The Big One

Cold at the start. Took a little while for the sun to come up and start warming the earth, but by then we were gaining altitude quickly and generating our own body heat. I was hiking with a group of 5 NAU students and they set a solid pace! Started at 7:25am and made the summit by 10:50. Wind was howling on the way up, but at the summit and on the north face it was calm and warm and beautiful. Spent about 40 minutes eating lunch and resting before heading back down.
