Hike was enjoyable and easy. The ~1200 feet of elevation gain within 2.5 miles might be difficult for beginner hikers. Trail conditions were less rutted out on the Five Oaks path and easy to navigate. A nice mixture of tree canopy and open views of the surrounding areas. Lilacs and peonies were in bloom all along the trail which added to the beauty of the hike along with the plethora of manzanita trees.
