Rose Peak from Sunol through Ohlone Wilderness, 18.3 miles with 3,983 feet vertical.  A long day hike to be sure, mostly fire roads on open and expose grassland oak uplands, with ups and downs, a few large cows, quail in occasional forested valleys.  Recommend planning ahead for a cool day.  This was my second attempt, as the first time was just way too hot.  Thankfully foggy this time and started right at 8am, took about 7.5 hrs.  Took a nice lunch up on top right at noon.  Even though it was a cool day, went through 2 liters of water and into my third.  Excellent wildland, old California views!
