YAY!  The roads from Wrightwood to Mount Baden-Powell had opened.  Although the drive is very far, I didn’t mind because I love going to the town of Wrightwood and hiking its beautiful trails.  There was a Mount High Ski Resort employee at the Mount Baden-Powell parking lot.  $5 is charged in those who parks there.  I opted to park across the street to it.  Parking is free with a National Forest Adventure Pass.  Going up puts a lot of strained on.  I felt it because I was so out of shape.  I made many rest.  I saw a few hiking friends on the trails.  On the flat sections of the trail, I got my second wind and cruised up to Mount Baden-Powell.  I saw the Boy Scouts monument.  And I was very sad to see the post was uprooted and leaned against the monument.  I took a few photos and shot straight down Mount Baden-Powell fearing it may get hot.

Woohoo! Mount Baden-Powell peak bagged.
