Hiked with a partner

Took the standard sign-posted route to the peak.  However, on the return to the saddle went down right to Brownstone Canyon (bushwhacking), along to the pictographs, then right up onto the cream sandstone, up and over to Upper Gateway Canyon, right again up the first wash to Rattlesnake and back to Sandstone Quarry.  It was 7 miles, 2500 ft. gross gain and 5 hours in round numbers.  It’s a whole-body workout.

Also did it on Jan 14th and this was when the photos were taken.  I didn’t take any on March 4th.
