Fun trail but beware! if you want to get an early start, the park doesn’t open until 6 a.m. and as of Jan 21, 2021, you are required to reserve a spot through recreation.gov if you’re coming in 8-5 during the months of October through May. I ended up having to drive down the road to get reception to reserve online. Won’t be a problem in a couple of weeks, but definitely threw me off today.

Also, you should definitely download a map of the trail. The one on AT helped me find the best route up.
