What goes down must come back up!
Also on this hike
Another long day on trail. I recorded 14.5 miles and 3,481 feet in elevation gain for this hike to Santa Fe Baldy. With 453 feet of that gain coming at miles 12 to 13.5 (roughly). The trail was pretty clear just a few step over blowdowns and a little mud. There were 3 water crossings which were easy to rock hop across. The morning was cool or should I say cold? There was a bit of left over hail (from the previous evenings storm) near the gate at the .85-mile mark.
Great views and pretty colors on trail. I even ran into a trio of deer just as I was getting started.
