Hiked with a partner

This was such a crazy hike especially considering it’s right next to very tame Los Altos. Parking was impossible, so we parked at Foothill College half a mile away. The first mile was quite steep, and then it became more of a gradual incline. A tick bit me while hiking. I felt it immediately and pulled it right out. There was another mile near the top that was TOUGH. I stopped a lot but kept going! We were confused about the location of the actual summit and had to ask other jokers twice. On the way back, we heard a mountain lion killing a wild boar!!! I reasoned that it wasn’t super close to the trail or else the squeals, hisses, and screams would’ve been louder. But then my partner mentioned he’d probably bring it back to his den, so I was worried about where that might be! We hardly stopped the whole way back.
