Wildflowers blooming

Had not been here for 4-5 years… (pre files) I went to see how things are since the trail was reopened in spring. I also thought there would be alot of hikers because it was Friday (July4th weekend). Got an early start at 6:30 am because of potential exposure.

Immediately encountered blooming wildflowers! In July!

Yes the forest and many trees and manzanita are gone but saw beautiful fields of white poppy’s with yellow centers…

Only saw a half dozen people all day!

Solo trips are great!
