Wind can make snow fall like glitter

I’ve driven past Black Butte probably a thousand times in my life and never climbed to the top of it. I’m so glad my son and I are doing these peaks together. What a fabulous adventure.
On the day we did our Black Butte summit it was a very windy day, but we were prepared with wind breakers and we weren’t too cold. There were some downed trees and a few places where the rocks had slide down on to the trail, but it was a pretty easy go.
the wind grabbed up pieces of snow and make them look like glitter falling in the sunlight. It was like nothing I had ever seen.
