Very picturesque hike after the initial rocky start. The grade is gentle on the fire road, but persistent after that initial scramble.
Beautiful views. There are no restrooms. The town of Calistoga is quite close to celebrate the ascent or relax the muscles in the hot springs.
Parking can be an issue on major weekends, but there are a few additional spots on the side of the road.
