Windy Day on Mount Sherman

This was our second 14er in as many days, and we were grateful this was an “easier” one. I called it our recovery 14er. ????

The last 3 miles is a very rough round to the trailhead (which is not marked). In fact, no signage at all on this hike. The Iowa Gulch climb has a lot of loose rock and scree, and it’s steep. It was challenging in both directions.

Once on the ridge, the wind was fierce. I was glad to have multiple layers and gloves.

Lots of hikers coming up from Fourmile Road.
