Feedback requested on Summit Flags
One of the recurring problems in many areas is the plethora of signs that are carried to the summits and left there. In theory, they are left to share with others, but unless this is placed by the governing agency (like the official sign on Mt San Jacinto), it violates the principles of Leave No Trace. It’s essentially litter.
Some people create their own signs (typically out of wood) and sometimes carry them back down with them, but those unfortunately seem to be the exceptions.
So we’re introducing a line of Summit Flags. These 12″ x 17″ flags are lightweight, easy-to-pack, include the peak name and elevation. They include artwork on both sides, one horizontally and the other vertically, giving you the ability to choose your preference. And they look good on your wall to commemorate your accomplishments.
Leave a comment below and let me know the top three peaks you would like to see flags for. They don’t even need to be in one of the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenges (i.e. Mount Whitney).
And be sure to enter our October giveaway for a chance to win a summit flag for the peak of your choosing, and we’ll throw in a hang kit.
