Starting out this location was easy to find, and the weather was absolutely perfect for this hike, with it being slightly overcast out and a temperature of about 75-77 degrees. I was able to find parking right at the trail head at mid-day, which was a huge plus! The trail is very well maintained and the first mile is interesting and very beautiful, with the wide trail being lined with wildflowers and spring foliage, it leads through a wash, which I liked, and it went by fast as I was excited to see what else it had in store. I reached the saddle where the Sweet water trail intersects and straight ahead there is a beautiful view of Tucson through the gap between the mountains if you're looking east from the trail sign. as you continue on, the trail has a slight incline, but plenty of smooth and easy going , more flat, sections to keep your pace and catch your breath. The amount of wildflowers were great to see and the trail up to Wasson Peak was not very crowded at all. This hike was unique in its own way, and what stood out the most was the number of saguaro standing tall that cover the landscape as you look out in every direction. This was a very enjoyable hike and left me with a smile! Glad it made the list and I would highly recommend this hike to all hikers of every level!
