I started this hike yesterday, a Sunday morning, around 9am. My body was feeling ready for this hike after doing Mount Woodson. It was kind of busy, I saw people pretty much every 10 minutes or so along the trail. Nice to know I'm not the only one out there. I did take the 5 Oaks Trail and it did give a little shade for awhile. This hike was great, except for the flies. They weren't super bad, but bad enough I will be dosing myself with bug spray for my next hike. The summit itself had trees kind of blocking the vista view but the view slightly below the summit with the sign to show the names of all the peaks was really cool. I liked the signs along the trail. Again I saw a lot of lizards and some butterflies and a bunny. It was more windy at the top for sure. It took me about 3 hours to do the hike. I had lunch at the top and it was the best lunch I have had in awhile.
