We started around 5AM when it was still pitch black outside (which I’ll be honest was a little scary) and we encountered our very first rattlesnake ever, a big boy sitting right on the middle of the trail (which I’ll be honest again, terrified me! Lol!) Besides that, it was a gorgeous morning. We had the peak to ourselves though we did run into a few people on the way down. The bugs were bad at the beginning but not too bad after the first mile or so. So happy to have bagged Peak 8! Just four more to go!
