Due to a late start this was an noon-afternoon hike rather than a morning hike. There were however several other hikers on the trail. The parking lot had a lot of cars parked although I still found a parking slot. Two hikers were resting at the picnic table at the trailhead. The weather was sunny but due to a cool breeze it wasn't too hot. In fact there were times when the wind picked up in speed though it never got too windy. There were wildflowers on the trail. Due to my late start I had the summit all to myself. I got back to my vehicle at sunset with daylight.
