We started hiking around 5am. We had the trail to ourselves for quite a while.  Watching the sun rise and then to look out to and see the city lights was magical.  I had to stop and admire the beauty on many occasions.  The climb up was a little sketchy (and even sketchier on the way down) – lots of loose gravel and rocks.  I was glad no one was above me or below or someone would have been hit by rocks.  It felt great to get this one done after wanting to try it for a while.  There was a rattle snake sighting but it was off the trail.  Lots of really cool lizards and beautiful flowers.
