I didn't enjoy this hike as much as the other peaks in this challenge. The last 2 miles are very scenic, with views of Lake Berryessa in the distance. But much of the trail is highly overgrown and not well graded imho; I could have used a weed whacker and a machete to clear the path. 😀 And I'll know in a few more days whether or not I successfully escaped without picking up poison oak.

An interesting side note to the hike — at the top, I met Melissa Hovey, the manager of the new Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument. We talked briefly, she asked for my contact info so I could participate in “feedback from the public” in the coming months, and I mentioned that the trail “needs a bit of work”. So if the trail improves in future years, you'll know whom to thank. 😉
