Today we hiked up Joplin Trail and then took the shortcut that follows the power lines up a steep, overgrown trail. The shortcut was 2 miles with 2800 feet elevation gain. We had to bushwack our way up the trail and had to battle the thorny bushes. Many of us have arms that appear to have been attacked by cats.

The trail was busy with mountain bikers and dirt bikers.

The weather couldn't have been more perfect! We hiked back down Joplin Trail and enjoyed the flowing streams and small waterfalls. It was a great day!
