I hiked Echo Canyon many years ago and it was exactly how I remember :)… Challenging and amazing!!!
I arrived around 6:30 am and there were already lights at the summit… so some got an early start. The upper parking lot was full with probably close to 100 cars there. The trail up was not crowded at all… As I approached the summit, lots of people were heading down already. It was beautiful and brisk at the top, with a strong wind. Loved it. I found going up easier than descending. Must be careful descending. I was amazed at how many people were running it… up and down.
As I prepare for Everest Base Camp in March, I am getting the hiking bug…
I will be posting all of my hikes and adventures here… maybe you might be interested.

I love sunrise hikes! Great featured shot with the shadow of Camelback cast over the city.
When are you headed to Everest Base Camp?
